]]>The 12 Days of Christmas giveaway contest which kicked off on the 12th of December on Facebook and Twitter and ended on the 24th of December was borne out of our ongoing Rewarding Life campaign, a platform created to enrich and reward the lives of our community, friends and associates. Therefore the purpose of the 12 days of Christmas contest was to enable our social media friends win holiday gifts and cash prizes for 12 days.
The giveaway contest was designed as a Question and Answer with a simple Rule: the First person to answer the question correctly Wins the prize of the Day. Each day, a series of questions were posted on Facebook page at a 11am and winners are chosen and announced at 4pm. As the day’s progresses, the questions become more difficult and the prizes also become more mouth watering. The prize winnings which progresses from Call Voucher on the 1st day to the grand cash prize of N25, 000 on day 12.
The 12 Days of Christmas giveaway contest were a huge success with over five thousand friends’ participating daily to win the day’s prize. It was a healthy competition between friends to be the first person to get the question correctly. A total of 12 lucky winners emerged from the giveaway amongst thousands of friends that participated.
The Group was highly commended on this successful contest, with positive feedbacks/ comments, an increase in the numbers of Facebook friends and Twitter followers as the words got out about the contest.
It was indeed a Jolly Good Christmas for us all!!

]]>The nomination process was quite easy, all our Facebook friends had to do was to choose a charity organization then tells us the reasons for their nomination. We have over a hundred entries nationwide with various charity organizations/Foundation nominated.
House of Mercy Children’s Home, located at No 44, Adebanbo street, Egbega -Alimosho, Lagos, emerged as our Win-Win Christmas Giveaway winner with a grand Prize of N150,000 ( One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) and Miss Oluwatosin Jetawo the nominator also won the nominator prize of N10,000 ( Ten Thousand Naira).
House of Mercy Children’s Home is a charitable nonprofit organization that strives to improve the quality of life for homeless street children, child street beggars, child scavengers and children caught in the web of poverty and despair.
Mr. Nelson Egboboh , Head of Corporate Communication for Standard Alliance Group presented the prize cheque to the proprietress of the Home, Mrs. Bunmi Awoyinfa whom thank the Group for its generosity and Kindness.

]]>FLAF is a progressive, humanitarian organization, that aim to alleviate the pressures that vulnerable people face (particularly street children), by offering them a practical hand in times of crisis. This includes the provision of food, shelter and clothing, the most basic needs of man.
The launch, which was a huge success was to further increase the awareness of the plight of the less privileged and the need for us all to GIVE BACK to our society.

]]>Receiving the SA Group team led by Mr. Koko Adewale, Head, Energy and Special Risk Department at SA Insurance Plc, the administrator of the Home, Alhaji Hassan Idris Padir, expressed gratitude to the SA Group and the entire staff for their kind gesture towards the less privileged in the society, praying that the Almighty Allah will bless and reward Group abundantly.
While conducting the SA Group team round the different sections of the Home, Alh. Hassan explained that Bab Salam was presently home to 31 children ranging from age 0-18. He took pride in explaining that the children who all attend private primary and secondary schools excel tremendously in Karate and Islamic competitions.
He further explained that the ‘highest number of children that the home had conveniently accommodated at a time was 45, quickly clarifying that ”this was not because we could not take more but because we wanted to give them the best our resources could provide for.”
According to him, “we believe in giving the best to our children here. For us in this Home, we believe that what is good for our own biological children is equally good for our children in the home.”
Mr. Koko Adewale was joined in the courtesy visit by his colleagues, Mr. Saba Lookman (Head, IT Group SA Group), Mr. Biodun Agbabiaka of Technical Department, SA Life, Miss Sefiya Sadik (reigning Miss Insurance and staff of SA Insurance Plc) and Miss Funmilayo Ogunseye of the Group Corporate Communications Department, SA Group.
