Mr. Bode Akinboye is the Group Managing Director of the company. He has a verifiable and significant record of performance in the Insurance Industry. He is the Vice Chairman of Gemrock Management Company Limited, the special purpose vehicle which acquired strategic stake in Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in December 2014. He had an exemplary career spanning close to twenty years as Financial Controller, AGM Oil/Energy, Financial Institution Marketing, Managing Director/Chief Executive and then Group Managing Director of Standard Alliance Group from where he left in 2009 to set up the private equity company.
As the then Group Managing Director/Group Chief Operating Officer of Standard Alliance Group, he was responsible for co-ordinating the strategic plans of the six-member companies with focus on non-Life Insurance, Life Assurance, Pension Funds Administration, Asset Management, Mortgage Banking, Property and other investments.
Mr. Akinboye was responsible for driving the team that transformed Standard Alliance Group into one of the most formidable, innovative and profitable non-bank financial services group in Nigeria. During his tenure at Standard Alliance, he led the team to achieve listing and quotation of the company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, grew the company’s asset base to over N20bn and facilitated foreign direct investments of about USD$20m to the company.
A former Management Accountant with Industrial and General Insurance Plc (IGI) before joining Standard Alliance, Mr. Akinboye is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM); Member, Institute of Directors (IOD) and an Alumnus of Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan African University. He is also a graduate of the Owner President Management
Program (OPM) and an Alumnus of Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. He has attended various courses locally and internationally. Mr. Akinboye served on the Governing Council of the Nigerian Insurers Association and was the Treasurer of the Association for four (4) years. He is a strategist in product packaging, marketing and corporate management; public speaker and an expert in capacity building and human resources development.
Mrs. Orerhime Emerhor-Iwuagwu is an Executive Director at Standard Alliance Insurance Plc. She heads the company’s Human Resources, IT and Brand Management teams.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Manchester, UK and a Master’s degree in Leisure and Hospitality Management from the University of Sheffield, UK. She is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School and has had trainings in London and Pan-Asian insurance markets.
She brings into the management team years of quality experience from Vetiva Capital Management Limited, Oando Plc and Lagoon Home Savings and Loans Limited. She is a Distinguished Member, AES Excellence Club; member, Institute of Directors (IoD) and member, Chartered Insurance Institute (London).
Miss Anietie Udo, a General Manager, leads the company’s Financial Institutions/Multi-Clients and General Business Division. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking & Finance (1993) from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Calabar. She is a member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).
Miss Udo began her career in insurance with Industrial and General Insurance Company Limited (IGI) in 1997 as a Field Officer and was promoted to a Field Analyst in 1998. While with IGI, she won the Leadership/Best Marketer’s award in 1999 and 2000.
In 2001, she joined Standard Alliance Life Assurance Limited as the Head, Oil & Energy Unit and then had a brief stint with African Development Insurance Company Limited (ADIC) (2003) before joining Standard Alliance Insurance Plc .
Mr. Victor Chibuzor who is the AGM, Northern Region is an Associate member of both The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers. He brings with him to SA Insurance plc over fifteen years of practical, extensive, and broad knowledge of the insurance market.
Mr. Osameke Pius Uwagbai is the General Manager, Finance and Investments of the company. He joined the company in February, 2014 from Pijossy Consultng, a financial and management consulting firm where he was the Managing Partner. He is a proactive professional Chartered Accountant with expertise in strategic management and reporting, treasury, processes, taxation, budgeting and controls, profit operations, turn-around management and administration.
He holds a 2001 LL.B (Hons.) from the University of Lagos and an MBA from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School where he completed the Senior Management Programme (SMP) in 2004.
Mr. Uwagbai commenced his professional career as an Accountant with the Tyres Division of Dunlop Nigeria Plc in 1988. He later moved to Bacad Finance and Investment Company Ltd in 1993 as an Assistant Manager in charge of Money Market Operations. In 1995, he joined Evans Medical Plc as Management Accountant and rose to become Financial Controller/Group General Manager, Finance. He left for Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc in 2007 as Senior Vice President, Financial Control and later rose to the position of Group General Manager, Finance. He resigned in September 2011to set up Pijossy Consulting.
Uwagbai is a fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Management. He has attended several management training programmes both locally and overseas
Mr. Ebose Austin Osegha is a General Manager with the company. He heads the organisation’s Public Sector/Brokers’ Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Delta State University and University of Ado-Ekiti respectively.
He joined A & G Insurance Plc in 2000 as a branch staff and rose to the position of a Branch/Business Development Manager from where he joined Capital Express General Insurance Limited as Group Head, Public Sector in November, 2004. He later moved to SA Insurance Plc where he has been an asset.
Mr. Ebose is a member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and Member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He has attended courses in Insurance, Management and Relationship Marketing Economics locally and internationally
Mr. Olusola Babalola, a chartered accountant, chartered financial analyst and a taxation expert, is the Chief Financial Officer of the company.
He graduated with B. Sc. degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos in 1992 and also obtained an MBA, specialising in Banking and Finance from University of Ilorin in 2006. A CFA charter-holder, an affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria as well as the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, he is a member of both the CFA Nigeria Society and the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
Mr. Babalola started his working career at Great Africa Trust Limited in 1993 where he functioned as Accounts/Investments Officer. He later moved to Diamond Bank in 1995 where he was Head of Funds Transfer Unit in one of the branches before Zenith Bank in 1997 and left as Senior Mannager after working in various Units and Branches of the bank to join Meristem Securities Limited in 2008 as Deputy Head, Corporate Finance Group. He co-founded Hypex Consulting LLP in 2010 before he took up appointment at Liberty Assets Limited as Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer. He left in 2013 to become the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Matripax Consulting Limited from where he joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc as Chief Financial Officer.
In the course of his career, he led teams on special assignments in cost reduction and income optimisation as well as business valuation, private equity structuring and financial advisory services for major companies in Nigeria.
At different times, Mr. Babalola added the following ratings to his belt: Prize Winner, ACCA December, 2007 examinations; Zenith Bank Plc, MD/CEO’s Award for Fraud Detection (1998); Best Graduating Student in Management Accounting, University of Lagos (1992) and Overall Best Graduating Student in Civil Engineering, The Polytechnic, Ibadan (1986).
He has attended several local and international courses.
Mr. Ojo Joseph Koleola is the Divisional Head, Brokers (1) Group. He joined the company in March, 2011 from Kay-ess Insurance Brokers Ltd where he was a General Manager.
With over 25 years of experience in insurance marketing, Mr. Koleola commenced his journey with Adehmos Insurance Brokers at its Kano Branch as Branch Superintendent.
He later worked with Great Nigeria Insurance Company Limited, Prime Investment Insurance Brokers, Phoenix of Nigeria Assurance Plc, Olympia Insurance Nigeria Limited and Union Assurance Company Ltd.
Mr. Ojo holds an MBA (2000) in Marketing Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho. He is a Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).
Mr. Ekunday Mobayo is the Divisional Head, Financial Institutions. He is a graduate of University of Ibadan and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurance of Nigeria. He holds an MBA (Marketing & Strategic Development) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife in 2004.
His experience spans across operations, Branch Supervision and Strategic Business Development.
Mr. Mobayo started his Career at Perpetual Assurance Company (Now SA Insurance) in December 1996 and joined the Brokers Marketing Unit of SA Insurance Plc in August 2000.
He was at various times Head, Multi Client Unit; Business Manager, Ibadan; Group Head, Financial Institutions at the Head office, and Regional Head, South- West.
Mr. Mobayo is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN - 2000). He has participated and attended several Courses and Seminars.Mr. Gospel Ifeanyi Ndubisi is the company’s Group Head, Technical. A 2003 MBA degree holder in General Management from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Mr. Ndubisi is a professional insurer with outright proficiency in General Insurance Underwriting, Insurance Marketing and Technical Operations.
He commenced his journey into the insurance world in 1988 when he joined Fire Equity & General Insurance Company Ltd. He left in 1998 for Standard Alliance Insurance Plc as Head, Technical Department. In 2001, he moved to Fortune Assurance and functioned in different capacities before becoming General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Trustville Insurance Brokers Ltd in 2005. He rejoined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in May, 2007 from FirstCall Options Marketing where he was the Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Akanni Oladele who is the Regional Head of the company’s Northern operations, holds a 1994 Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Jos and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), specializing in Marketing from Bayero University, Kano in 2002.
He started his career with International Insurance Brokers, Kano, in 1996. He moved over to SA Insurance Plc in 1997 as the company’s pioneer Business Manager at its first branch office which was then opened in Kano.
He was transfered to the Head Office in Lagos in 2007 as Group Head, General Business Group and later to Financial Institutions. He was the Divisional Head, Business Development, before his present position.
Mr. Akanni who is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria has attended courses covering oil and gas, marketing and corporate strategy.
Mr. Jide Fasanmi is the Regional Head, South-West. A graduate of Management Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Fasanmi holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Strategic Development from the Lagos State University, Ojo, in 2004.
He is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM), the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (ACIB) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN). He is also a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing.
He is a rounded insurance practitioner with an experience spanning almost three decades in insurance underwriting and Broking concerns.
He cut his teeth in insurance marketing at Guinea Insurance Plc in 1984. He later joined Bluefield Insurance Brokers Ltd as the pioneer General Manager in 1992. He moved to Regency Alliance Insurance Plc where he served as Assistant Controller (Marketing) and later joined Refuge Insurance Co. Ltd in 2003 as Controller (Marketing/Business Development).
A member of both Lagos Country Club and Apapa Club, Mr. Fasanmi had a brief stint in Crystal Insurance Brokers as the General Manager before joining SA Insurance Plc as the Group Head, Brokers Marketing in 2005.
Mr. Ekanem Emmanuel Samuel is the Regional Head, South-South. He holds a 2012 Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Port Harcourt and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State in 1998.
He started his insurance marketing career with NEM Insurance Plc in 2002. He later joined Intercontinental Wapic Insurance Plc, Port Harcourt in 2006 as the Zonal Manager. He became the Branch Manager for Royal Exchange Plc in 2013 before his appointment by Standard Alliance Insurance Plc as the Regional Head of its South–East operations in the same year.
Mr. Ekanem is a member of the Association of Public Relations; member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria; member of Reading Association of Nigeria and Ex-President of English and Literary Forum.
Mr. Adewale Koko is the Group Head, Energy & Special Risk. He coordinates the underwriting of Oil and Gas, Marine, Bonds and Special Risks.
He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Insurance from the Lagos State Polytechnic, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar and a Master of Business Administration degree from the same institution. Before his appointment as Group Head, Energy & Special Risk, he was the Head, General Underwriting.
He has many years of experience in insurance underwriting and he is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute Nigeria
Mr. Richard Ohoreoghene is the Head, Corporate Services of the company. Prior to taking up his present office, he was the Head of the company’s Human Capital Management Department.
Mr. Ohoreoghene who has strong experience in human resources and administrative duties was the Head, Management Services at then Standard Alliance Pensions Limited and was earlier Personal Assistant/Administrative Officer at the Group CEO’s office at Standard Alliance Group.
He holds a 2003 B.Sc degree in Banking and Finance, Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago-Iwoye and a 2008 MBA in Management from the same institution.
He is an Associate Member, Nigeria Institute of Management and Member, Human Capital Management Committee of Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA).
Mr. Ayegbusi Abayomi Ayodele is the Regional Head, North. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Ilorin. Before his appointment as the Regional Head, North, he was the Business Manager, Abuja.
He started his career with Leadway Assurance Company Ltd in 1998. He later joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc as the Head of Industrial and Commercial Group Marketing Unit II. He moved to Consolidated Risk Insurers as a pioneer staff and Head of the Lagos Island Business Unit. He was later transferred to Abuja as the Regional Head, Central Region. He rejoined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in December 2006 as the Abuja Business Manager.
Mr. Ayegbusi who is a member of Hilton Club is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria
Mrs. Nkeiruka Uzoechi heads the company’s Human Capital Management Department. She holds a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) Hons from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Management) from the Lagos State University.
She has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management, having worked at various organizations. She started her career as a Legal Officer with Sea Petroleum Ltd and rose to the level of Company Secretary/Legal Adviser before her exit. She has also worked with Trust Bank of Nigeria, Standard Alliance Insurance Plc and Spring Life Assurance Plc where she held positions as Head of Human Resources and served in several management committees.
She was part of the team that repositioned Standard Alliance Insurance Plc from a limited liability company to a leading insurance company listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Nkeiruka was a partner at HR Support Company Limited, a Human Resources Consulting firm which offers services ranging from Consulting, Outsourcing, Training and Development.
She has expertise in human resource administration and human capital development. She has designed and implemented human resources strategies for various organizations spanning from performance management systems, HR policies, structure and design as well as compensation and reward structures.
She has attended various human resources, leadership and strategic courses, has facilitated in several training programmes and spoken at various seminars.
Mr. George Ododo is an Assistant General Manager and Group Head Compliance & Enterise Risk of the company. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; Member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and an Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He holds Bachelor of Public Administration and Master of Business Administration, both from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.
He started his career in Aiico Insurance Plc as an Accounts Clerk. He later held various positions in International Standard Insurers, Crystal Bank of Africa which became Standard Trust Bank Plc and now UBA Plc) and Mustard Seed Mortgage Limited.
He joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in 1998 as the Head of Finance and Investment and later became the Branch Manager for Onitsha office, Anambra State, (2001-2003).
George was the pioneer Compliance Officer at First Guarantee Pension Managers Limited, before he rejoined Standard Alliance in 2007 as the Group Head, Risk Management and Compliance for Standard Alliance Pension.
Mr. Thompson Akhigbe is Head, Internal Control of the company. He joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in January, 2015 from AIICO where he was Head, Budget and Financial Reporting.
Mr. Akhigbe who is bringing his over 21 years of experience in the nation’s insurance industry to the functions of the company began his insurance career in 1993 at The Lion of Africa Insurance Company Limited. He moved later to Equity Assurance Plc in 2006 where he became Head, Credit Control. He left Equity Assurance for Cornerstone Insurance Plc in February 2008 and served as Internal Auditor before joining AIICO in September 2008. While at AIICO, he functioned severally as Senior Manager, Credit Control/Strategy; Head, General Accounts and Head, Budget and Financial Reporting.
He holds HND in Marketing from the Lagos State Polytechnic. He is an Associate Member of the following professional bodies: the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
Mr. Akhigbe who has attended several strategic trainings, both locally and internationally, is a member of The Apapa Club.
Mr. Jegede Biodun is the Group Head, Brokers Marketing. He rejoined the company from Associated Insurance Brokers where he was General Manager. An expert in sales channel development in insurance, Mr. Jegede holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Marketing from Tafawa Balewa University, an HND in Finance and Banking, The Polytechnic, Owerri and a National Diploma in Banking and Finance from The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
He commenced his working career as an Assistant Credit Officer with then AfriBank Nigeria Plc in 1987. He joined Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Ltd in 1998 as Senior Marketing Executive after his NYSC year as Accounts Officer at Dehinde Odusanya & Co. In 2003, he moved to SA Insurance Plc and was Principal Manager/Group Head, Brokers Marketing Group in 2010 when he moved to Associated Insurance Brokers.
Mr. Jegede is an Associate, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He has attended several relevant training programmes.
Mr. Nelson Egboboh is the Head, Group Corporate Communications of the company. He took up his current appointment in July 2007 after 18 years in the print media. He commenced his working career with THE GUARDIAN in 1989 and moved to VANGUARD in 1992. He left VANGUARD in 2005 to become the founding Editor of THE UNION, a South-South tabloid then based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He holds a National Diploma in Mass Communication, Auchi Polytechnic, 1987; B.A (Hons), Philosophy, Lagos State University, Ojo, 1998; M.A, History and Diplomatic Studies, Lagos State University, Ojo, 2000; M.A, Philosophy, University of Lagos, 2002 and an MBA in Advertising and Public Relations, ESUT Business School, Enugu.
Mr. Egboboh who bagged the awards of the Best Newspaper Editor, South-South (2006) and Corporate Affairs Personality of the Year – 2010 (Insurance Sector), is a Fellow, Institute of Brand Management; an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; Member, Corporate Affairs Managers’ Committee of the Nigerian Insurers’ Association; Member, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies and Distinguished Member, AES Excellence Club, among others.
Ms. Nwadiuto Olamma Onuoha is the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of the organization. She joined the company in January 2015 from Helios Towers Nigeria Limited where she was Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer. She was responsible for the legal, regulatory & Company Secretarial functions at Helios Towers Nigeria.
A graduate of Queen Mary College, University of London, where she also obtained her LL.M in Telecommunications Law, Ms. Onuoha has not less than 14 years legal and regulatory advisory experience with particular focus on West and East African Region (WECA). Her experience includes advising on general commercial matters, Mergers and Acquisition (M & A), outsourcing, regulatory assignments, litigation and company secretarial duties.
Over recent years, she had led and managed legal teams, handled major advisory transactions, sale and lease backs, M&A's in relation to a range of assets classes in the telecoms sector.
Prior to joining Helios Towers Nigeria, she had worked in almost all segments of the Nigerian telecommunications sector, including the role of AGM; Head, Legal and Regulatory/Company Secretary in Visafone Communications (CDMA) and Senior Manager level at Airtel Nigeria (GSM).
She also served as Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer for UNOTELOS, a Value-Added Services Company (VAS) and Country Interconnect Clearing Company (CICC FZ), a Dubai based telecoms financial reconciliations firm. She is also the inventor of the globally sold Luv Ur Body Menstrual Cups for women.
Mrs. Bolatito Salami is the Head of Brokers Marketing Team 2. She started her career with Standard Alliance Insurance Plc as a Youth Corp member in 2002/2003. She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration from The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
She was retained after her service year following her enviable performance and has since risen through the ranks to the Management level. Her wealth of experience cuts across marketing and product development.
Before her current position, she had, at various times, headed different marketing groups which included Enterprise Marketing Group, Financial Institutions Group, Retail Marketing (nationwide) and Broker’s Marketing Team, respectively.
Mrs. Salami who has attended various trainings and courses in Insurance, Marketing and Management is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).Mr. Haruna Mohammed Baba is the Head, Public Sector (North). He joined the employ of the company in 2006 as Head, Public Sector (North).
He commenced his working career with the Public Complaint Commission in 1985 and rose to the position of Principal Investigation Officer before moving to Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) in 1996 as Kano Business Manager. In 2004, he left NAIC for Yankari Insurance Company Ltd as Head of Clients’ Services from where he joined the company.
Mohammed holds a Diploma in Insurance (1981) and a 1984 Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration, both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Mr. Ifidon Jonathan is the company’s Group Head, Technical. Until he took up this office, he was the company’s Regional Head, Mid-West operations. He joined the company in March, 2013 from Union Assurance Ltd where, before his resignation, he was the company’s Regional Director for its South-South/South-East business.
Mr. Ifidon who has worked all his life in the underwriting sector started his insurance marketing career with Phoenix Assurance Plc in 1988. He left for Union Assurance Ltd in 1999 where he speedily rose through the ranks having excelled in his duties.
An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance of Nigeria, Ifidon is a graduate of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.
